PIPING DESIGNER - CHANDLER

Position Summary: Position will work in our Mechanical Department and will be responsible for the design of piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will work under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and drawings of mechanical piping systems using Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks, while applying engineering principles into the design of mechanical piping systems for process facilities. This includes piping isometrics, definition of pipeline materials of construction, review and input into P&ID’s, and selection of pumps/pipeline components.
  • Meet project deadlines for modeling and document deliverables in alignment with overall project schedules.
  • Will be available to learn and engage in any aspect of mechanical engineering, including learning new technologies.
  • Will learn or enhance AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks software proficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree, trade school, technical certification, or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
  • The candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
  • A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Vision and Creativity
  • Working knowledge and experience using 3D modeling software such as Plant 3D and or Revit, and MS office.
  • Knowledge of typical industry codes and standards, such as API, NACE, HI, ANSI NFPA.
