SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER - Tucson

Position Summary:  This position will perform civil engineering including hydrology/hydraulic analysis for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other projects as assigned.  

Basic Duties:

·        Collaborate as part of a multi-discipline project team for the successful completion of projects of various sizes. 

·        Prepare engineering computations and estimates.

·        Hydrology and hydraulic analysis with hydrology report preparation and updates.

·        Development of civil engineering plans and designs.

·        Drafting of designs utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. 

·        Prepare engineering design packages for agency review and approval. 

·        Review of drawings for civil engineering completion and provide redlines to design staff.

·        Prepare civil material take-offs (MTOs) and work with cost estimators to establish project cost estimates. 

·        Analyze quotations and bids and make purchase recommendations. 

·        Analyze and control project costs, budgets and schedules. 

·        Conduct site investigations as needed. 

·        Coordinate with field personnel for design clarifications and solutions to issues arising during construction. 

·        Interface with clients as needed and document findings in report format. 

·        Ability to travel domestically and internationally for projects as needed. 

·        Available for other duties and assignments, as required. 

Basic Qualifications:

·        A minimum of 5 years related engineering experience.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

·        Registered PE in Arizona with the ability to obtain other states as needed.

·        Experience preparing and editing construction documents and reports. 

·        Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Navisworks and MS Office.

·        Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.

·        Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be an initiative-taker, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.

·        Teach Engineers-In-Training civil leadership skills and provide presentations for civil engineering design.

·        Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.

·        Valid passport or the ability to obtain.
